Iceland is an island country of glaciers, hot springs, geysers, active volcanoes and snow- capped peaks. Even though its name is associated with cold, it’s becoming one of the hottest destinations in Europe. Its popularity stems from its magnificent natural locations, including glaciers and thermal springs, geysers (including the site “Geysir” from this term is drawn) and volcanoes, snow-capped mountain peaks and expansive lava fields. But this country is also known for its remarkable history and attractive literature, valued traditions and appealing folklore. This is a special opportunity to tour one of the most unusual and exhilarating countries in the world.
Day 1, Monday: Keflavik
Arrival to Keflavik International Airport (KEF). We will Meet the tour leader at the hotel.
Day 2, Tuesday: Keflavik – The Blue Lagoon – Þingvellir – Gulfoss – Geysir (The Golden Circle)
The first item on today’s agenda is a visit to The Blue Lagoon a unique wonder of Iceland, a result of all that volcanic activity. In the middle of the weird and wonderful, flat black lava fields of the Svartsengi National Park, the huge, outdoor lagoon is filled by naturally heated geothermal water which comes from 6,500 feet (2,000 meters) below the surface of the earth. It is full of minerals, silica and algae and is especially good for the skin and relaxation. The water is almost startlingly blue in color, and the white of the silica on the black lava rocks around the edges makes an amazing contrast. As well as soaking and swimming in the pool, the Blue Lagoon offers in-water massage treatments, saunas and steam rooms, and a cafe. This is an incredible way to start our visit to Iceland…
We will continue to Þingvellir National Park, where the Althing, Iceland’s first parliament was founded in the 10th century. We’ll continue to Gulfoss Falls and the famous location Geysir, from where the name for all similar thermal spring phenomena drawn their name.
Day 3, Wednesday: Landmannalaugar
We’ll travel today to Landmannalaugar nature reserve – the colorful land of thermal springs. It’s a beautiful drive, with breathtaking volcanic views. We will walk between colorful mountains, black obsidian lava and hot springs. Some of the hot springs are located at the bottom of a river, creating a wonderful temperature for a relaxing bath!
Day 4, Thursday: Skaftafell National Park
This morning cross Eldhraun, the largest mass of lava ever to flow on the face of the earth before reaching the Skaftafell National Park. Here you’ll also start seeing the largest glacier in Iceland, the Vatnajökull that covers more than 8% of the island. Continue to the spectacular Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon and see the birthplace of icebergs. You’ll even have the option to take a trip on an amphibian boat and get close to the icebergs for a different kind of view.
Day 5, Friday: Waterfalls and black sands
Begin the day with a visit to the waterfalls of Seljarlandsfoss and Skogarfoss. After the visit, we will head to the Skogasafn Museum, which houses a large collection of cultural folk artefacts and period buildings. From here, continue along Iceland’s beautiful South Shore, checking out the promontory of Dyrholaey, which is rich in birdlife, the rocks of Reynisdrangar and the dramatic Solheimajokull glacier along the way. After this extraordinary day we drive back to our hotel and prepare for Shabbat.
Day 6, Shabbat: Selfoss
After Shabbat services and lunch we’ll take a walking tour with our tour guide.
Day 7, Sunday: Snaefellsnes National Park
Today we will continue our journey into Snaefellsnes National Park, home to the magnificent Snaefellsjokull glacier. The glacier played a staring role in Jules Verne’s 1864 novel ‘Journey to the Centre of the Earth’.
Day 8, Monday: Snaefellsnes National Park – Reykjavik
Spent exploring the numerous places of interest around the peninsula famous for the majestic Snaefell volcano/glacier at the end of the peninsula. Possible stops include the basalt pillars of Gerðuberg, Búðir with its small wooden church surrounded by a lava field, Arnarstapi, a small fishing village where you can have a look at the fascinating rock formations by the old pier and Djúpalónssandur, a black sand beach.
Day 9, Tuesday: Reykjavik – Home Gateway
Explore Reykjavik on a sightseeing tour this morning. See all the city‘s major attractions including the Parliament, the harbor, the National Museum, Laugadalur swimming pool and the city‘s main landmark, the Hallgrímskirkja church standing on the top of a hill in the city center . We will end our visit with a fascinating Whale Watching experience. It’s been a fascinating journey to a most unusual land. flight back home.

Kashrut on Tours
Only strictly kosher food is provided to our travelers on all our tours. On some of our tours we are able to provide glatt meals. Kashrut is of utmost importance to us and we take special measures to ensure that everything served is kosher.
Breakfast is prepared using our utensils. We use local fresh fruits and vegetables, and we use milk products when they are permitted. We use kosher cereals, and bread. We usually serve hard boiled eggs and sometimes scrambled eggs or omelets. At breakfast, we prepare our lunches so that people have their choice as to what they eat for lunch. We bring food from Israel to supplement what is served in the hotel such as cheeses, peanut butter, tuna, etc.
For dinners, we serve either fish or meat (usually chicken) as our main course. In areas where meat is not available nor readily acquired, we will have fish. When possible, we acquire the meat locally from Chabad or other reliable kosher source, and in some cases we fly the meat in from Israel. We try to provide as many meat meals as possible. The main course at dinner is preceded by soup and salad and accompanied by freshly prepared vegetables. Dessert typically consists of fresh fruits.
We do not guarantee Pat Israel and Chalav Israel for all destinations.
In many destinations we have our own dishes and silverware. Where we don’t, we provide disposables at the meals. When we cook in hotel kitchens, we use our own knives, cutting boards, pots and pans, cooking implements and disposable metal trays. All food preparation is done on covered surfaces under the strict supervision of our trained staff/guides who function as our mashgichim.
We make great efforts to assure that our travelers will experience local foods first-hand, while maintaining stringent observance of Kashrut laws on all occasions.
On most of our tours, you will be accompanied by two of our staff members- one a guide for the tour who is knowledgeable about the places you are visiting and will accompany you throughout the day and the second, a person who will deal with the logistics of the tour and provide kashrut supervision in the kitchen.
It is our aim to provide the finest hotel possible in each area we visit. We require our hotels to allow us to work in the kitchen and to supervise the cooking and there are many hotels that are not willing to cooperate. They simply have no desire for us to be “meddling” in their cooking process nor are they happy about our bringing our equipment into their kitchens. We work very hard to find the best hotel in the area that will meet our requirements. Because we are not ready to compromise on kashrut, we may not always be able to use a five star hotel.
Deposit, Cancellation Fees & Policy:
A $500 USD Deposit per person must be received at the time of booking in order to confirm your reservation. Payment in full is due 60 days before departure. A minimum number of participants are required to operate tour dates. If a minimum number has not been reached prior to tour departure and the tour is cancelled you will receive a FULL refund.

• 60-30 days prior to departure: $500 + $100 per passenger
